September 28th

The mid-term test was today. Students turned in their mid-term study guide worth 85 points, and then given the rest of class to take the test, worth 68 points on their grade. Towards the end of class, the test was corrected by peers. Any student who was absent has the next two weeks to come in after school to take the test. After this day, the student will receive a zero on the test. Next week we will start the communication unit.

September 27th

Students were given the whole class to work on a study guide for their mid-term test tomorrow (Friday). All test questions were taken from the study guide. Students could use their notes, worksheets, and could ask me questions about anything on their study guide. I also showed students portions of PowerPoints that they asked to see a second time.

Grades

Students are responsible for getting on PowerSchool on a regular basis to check for missing assignments and their current grade. Citizenship will be adjusted at mid-term and the end of the term, so students also need to watch how many tardies they have and their behavior in class.

September 26th

The class finished the unit on stress today by discussing ways students can manage time better. We also discussed solitude and read an article entitled "Sweet Solitude." Students were given questions to answer about the article and turned it in. Any student who did not finish was assigned the reading and questions as homework. This will be collected during class tomorrow.

September 25th

Students finished watching and discussed the film "On Our Own." Students were then given a copy of their class grade and were given the rest of class time to catch-up on any missing assignments on their grade.

Welcome!

Starting today, this blog site will be updated every couple of days or more with information about what we are doing in Teen Living. Parents and students will be able to look on the site to see what they may have missed when absent and what assignment due dates are coming up. If you or your student needs a copy of an assignment, they need to come to my office in AT 111. Thank you for checking this site!
